Falschinformationen, Fake News, Propaganda oder Desinformation– gleich, wie man die Phänomene nun benennt, Halb- und Unwahrheiten verbreiten sich in der Pandemie virulent. Verschiedene Akteure streuen mit unterschiedlichen Absichten insbesondere in digitalen Medien ihre verunsichernden und teilweise gefährlichen Botschaften, die sehr reale Wirkungen in der analogen Welt entfalten können: Von der alltäglichen Weigerung, einfache Schutzmaßnahmen mitzutragen, bis hin zum Sturm auf Symbole der Demokratie. Es verfestigt sich der Eindruck, dass extremistische Gruppen und externe Akteure aus der aktuellen Situation großer Verunsicherung zunehmend profitieren und Ihren Einfluss zu mehren versuchen. Doch trügt dieser Eindruck?
Gemeinsam mit den Investigativjournalisten Alexej Hock (Die Welt) und Daniel Laufer (Netzpolitik.org) wollen wir einen realistischen Blick auf die Angebotsseite des virtuellen „Fake News“-Marktplatz Deutschlands richten: Wer sind einzelne Akteure in Deutschlands Falschinformationslandschaft? Welche Interessen verfolgen sie beim Verbreiten ihrer Botschaften? Wie organisieren und koordinieren Sie sich? Kann man ihren Erfolg messen? Und wie groß ist das Gefährdungspotenzial für die Demokratie im Land?
Sie sind herzlich dazu eingeladen, sich nach dem Impuls der Referenten aktiv mit Fragen und Beiträgen an der Diskussion zu beteiligen! Sehr gerne können Sie uns auch schon vorab Fragen zukommen lassen. Wir freuen uns auf Sie und Ihr Kommen!
