The summit was held to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence. “Celebrating New India” aims to engage the leading political and business minds as well as prominent leaders from the civil society and academia to shape national, regional and industry agendas. Delegates from eleven countries, renowned think-tanks, academic institutions and universities participated in the summit. The IYDU Council was held as a sideline meeting to the summit.
