KAS-CICP Public Lecture Series aspires to serve as an open-debate platform, through which the diplomatic community, policymakers, and interested stakeholders in Cambodia are able to analyze and debate the latest trends, challenges, and issues in international politics that matter for Cambodia's diplomacy and regional peace and stability at large.

In this second session of the public lecture series, we will present you "Cambodia’s 2022 ASEAN Chairmanship: Expectation and Possibilities". This roundtable discussion takes a deep dive into the realities on the ground in examining both the expectations and possibilities for the Royal Government of Cambodia as Phnom Penh assumes the ASEAN chair for the third time. In the lead-up to 2022, analysts and commentators presented a vast spectrum of arguments as to the probable outcomes of Cambodia’s chairmanship yielding significant space where evidence-based realities need to be differentiated from mere speculation.
