Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Lebanon Office and the German Embassy in Beirut were happy to organize the 4th meeting of the Lebanese-German Alumni Group on the 28th of February, 2022. Mr. Michael Bauer, the director of KAS Lebanon, Rear Admiral Michael Busse, Commander of the UNIFL maritime task force and LtCol Heino Matzken, German Defence Attaché, opened the meeting with welcoming remarks.

At the forefront of the discussion was the so-called Zeitenwende in Germany, hence the political, social, and economic developments in Germany over the past year in the wake of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.

The Lebanese-German Navy Alumni Group provides a platform for LAF navy officers trained in Germany and contributes to the German-Lebanese partnership.
