In line with the judicial mediation law of 2018 and the conventional mediation law of 2022, the training provided judges with knowledge and skills needed to apply mediation techniques. Throughout a three-day period, two groups of judges each received five sessions of training at Smallville Hotel. A total of 45 judges participated.
The training aimed at deepening and enhancing the participants understanding of their judicial authority, the laws and the value of mediation in the legal system. Through various activities, including exercise and live mediation sessions, the participants were enabled to better understand the role of a mediator and apply negotiation skills, problem-solving techniques, and non-violent communication.
Through application of the acquired techniques by the participants, the initiative seeks to promote the further spread of a culture of peace and positive communication. Furthermore, the participants will also attend an advanced training on mediation further enhancing their attained skills in the near future.
