On May 19, 2025, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Lebanon office and Madanyat successfully concluded the project “Empowering Youth and Women for Municipal Elections Through AI-Driven Digital Strategies” with a public panel discussion in Beirut. Over the course of the project, we trained 61 participants—including youth, women, activists, and aspiring municipal candidates—on campaign strategies, AI-powered advocacy tools, and municipal law.
The final event brought together 60 attendees and featured a distinguished panel including MP Nazih Matta, Me Lara Saadeh, and Mr. Rabie Al Chaer, moderated by Sandy Al Hayek. Speakers discussed key challenges in local governance, the impact of political networks on municipal councils, the need for legal reforms, and the prospects of decentralization in Lebanon.
This initiative comes at a time Lebanon is holding the municipal elections, aiming to build inclusive participation and digital innovation in local politics.
