The Public Intellectuals Forum (PIF) is a forum for scholars, writers, journalists, academics and social activists. It invites participants to scrutinize issues in a more profound level rather than the typical shallower public discussions.


The forum discusses about the following points:

– The importance of interfaith dialogues

– The definitions of "Hindu"

– A short history of Hinduism

– Basic belief systems in Hinduism

– The caste system

– The caste system and the rise of Islam

– Hinduism in politics

- Gandhi and revolution

- Fundamentalism and the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh)

- The formation of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)

- The conflict between the Hindus and the Muslims in India
