Über diese Reihe

Digital technologies are regarded as a key driver for ensuring future prosperity. At the same time, personal liberties and societal cohesion are threatened while traditional institutions, government structures, and media often struggle to adjust. Their capacities in governing technologies and platforms will be crucial for keeping the negative impact of digitalisation in check.

A look towards Asia will be of help in this context. With more than two billion Internet users, South, East, and South East Asia are increasingly shaping the Internet and the digital economy. Our series “Digital Asia” shows approaches to the future of work, AI ethics in organizations, cyber security, legal innovation, e-payments, digital taxation, and Govtech.

By presenting a variety of case studies, our aim is to contribute to the ongoing discussion about the digital transformation and to provide policy recommendations to European and German policy makers.
