Two years ago, the comic artist Flix published his first comic-strip that reflects his own childhood memories of a divided Germany, in the German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel. After publishing his comic series as a book, it was adapted to an open-air exhibition that was shown along the Berlin Wall Path in 2010. In cooperation with the Government-founded organisation devoted to the examination and reappraisal of the Communist dictatorship in East Germany, this exhibition has been translated into several languages and was shown amongst others, in the United States, Peru, Bolivia and Poland.

At the Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi the exhibition will be shown in English. Arabic and French translations will be available. Simultaneously the exhibition will be shown in German at the German International School Abu Dhabi.
