Ein Schülerpraktikum bei der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung ? Kann das ein Schüler überhaupt bewältigen? Mit Blick auf die nahende 11. Klasse wollte ich meine beruflichen Zukunftspläne weiter ausbauen und entschied mich deshalb für ein Schülerpraktikum im Politischen Bildungsforum Sachsen.
Gleich am ersten Tag wartete eine spannende Aufgabe auf mich. Ich sollte ein erstes Konzept für ein Projekt nach dem Vorbild des britischen „Speakers Corner“ entwerfen. Gemeinsam mit Referenten aus Politik, Wissenschaft und Kultur soll dabei auf öffentlichen Plätzen über aktuelle Fragen diskutiert werden. Ziel ist es, politische Bildung „vor Ort“ anzubieten und mit den Bürgern ins Gespräch zu kommen. Meine Ideen und Vorschläge konnte ich mit den Mitarbeitern diskutieren, wobei mir völlig neue Sichtweisen und Denkanstöße zu teil wurden.
Als ich an der Veranstaltungsreihe zum Thema „Grenzen“ arbeitete, wurde mir klar, wie viel Zeit und Aufwand nötig ist, bis auf der Website des Bildungsforums die Veranstaltungsinformationen, eine Kurzbiographie und bestenfalls ein lizenzfreies Bild erscheint. Dazu gehörte auch, die Biographien der mitwirkenden Referenten zu vereinheitlichen, zu aktualisieren bzw. neu anzulegen. Doch auch spontane Aufgaben durfte ich erledigen, wie z.B. vorrangegangene Vorträge in einem Bericht thematisch zusammenzufassen, oder einen Entwurf für einen Flyertext zu formulieren.
Ich genoss sehr, dass mir während des Praktikums stets eine gewisse praktische aber auch geistige Handlungsfreiheit ermöglicht wurde. Die eigene Kreativität und natürlich das Selbstvertrauen wurden dadurch gefördert. Ich konnte z.B. oft selbst entscheiden, auf welche Art und Weise ich „Aufgabenstellungen“ lösen wollte. Mir stand dabei ein komplett ausgestatteter Arbeitsplatz zur Verfügung. Genügend Freiraum, um selbstständig zu arbeiten.
Erwähnenswert ist die schnelle Einbindung in die Arbeits- und Denkprozesse des Teams der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Ich wurde nie mit Fragen alleingelassen. Die Mitarbeiter waren stets aufgeschlossen, hilfsbereit und interessiert an meinen Arbeitsergebnissen. Zudem war ich positiv überrascht, dass ich als Schülerpraktikant sofort an aktuellen Veranstaltungen mitarbeiten durfte und ich das Gefühl hatte, dass meine Ausarbeitungen im Politischen Bildungsforum Sachsen weiterverwendet werden.
Das Praktikum bei der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Sachsen hat mir verdeutlicht, dass durch den Bedarf, etwas zu erfüllen bzw. zu erledigen, sich persönliche Kompetenzen am besten profilieren. Ich hatte Zeit, kreativ über politische, gesellschaftliche und ethische Fragen nachzudenken. Es wurde nie langweilig, jeder Tag war gut gefüllt mit kleinen und größeren Herausforderungen. Durch das Praktikum lernte ich zum einen die Arbeitsbereiche im Politischen Bildungsforum kennen. Zum anderen erhielt ich durch die Themen mit denen ich mich auseinandergesetzt habe zahlreiche neue Anregungen und neues Wissen.
