The book titled "The Election of PAO Presidents and Councilors Nationwide, Saturday, February 1, 2025: Strengths, Problems, and Lessons for Advancing Local Governance (In Thai: การเลือกตั้งนายก อบจ. และ สจ. ทั่วประเทศ เสาร์ที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568: จุดแข็ง ปัญหา และบทเรียน เพื่อปรับปรุงการปกครองท้องถิ่นขั้นต่อไป) was produced by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thanet Charoenmuang (Creative Urban Solutions Center, or CUSC, Chiang Mai) in collaboration with a group of academics from universities across all regions, with support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Thailand. It invites reflection on the lessons learned and key observations by examining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and phenomena that emerged both at the provincial and regional levels. The book also explores the political landscape, context, and local political reflections to further develop policy recommendations aimed at strengthening local politics in Thailand and laying a solid foundation for democracy at the national level.
