Media Dialogue:
Digital Disruption and a Push for Sound Public Policies
Online Conference (Zoom Meeting)| Thursday, May 14, 2020 | 16:00-17:30 (BKK Time)
In the digital era we are all inevitably living in, new media and other innovation technologies have brought the society to a new level of intense information and opinion sharing as well as data-driven decision making. In Thailand where opinions differ widely among the population on many issues and where the media play their critical role in conveying their audiences, digital technologies have intensified the phenomenon.
The news agency Bangkok Tribune, supported by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Thailand, is organizing an online conference to discuss the long-term implications of digital innovation for the media and how the latter can contribute to develop sound public policies in the service of the society.
This conference is the first of a series of Media Dialogues on current Thai, regional, and global developments organized by the Bangkok Tribune and the KAS. It will take place on Thursday, May 14 at 16:00 (Bangkok Time) via Zoom and be conducted in Thai language. A selection of the record will then be shared to the public in order to continue the discussion online.
To participate in this online conference, please send an email to Thasuthida.thetthong@kas.de. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom Meeting and how to take part in the Q&A sessions with the panelists.
