KAS Australia and the Pacific in cooperation with the Australia India Institute (AII) of the University of Melbourne and with the support of the Centre for Global Security (LCGS) of the La Trobe University will implement the 2026 Islands Roundtable (by invitation only). Scheduled to be held on 2/3 November 2026 in Fiji's capital Suva, the event will focus on strenghening mutual engagement between middle powers and Island States, with an emphasis on identifying practical and collaborative approaches to supporting resilience and stability in the region. The dialogue will provide a platform for candid, policy-focussed discussions and assist decision makers to better understand and respond to the security challenges of island nations though the lens of island nations.
