Details

The European Parliament’s “Report on the Annual Report on the implementation of the Common Foreign and Security Policy” by David McAllister is an important element in this continuous process of evaluation. “We try to identify major issues our Union faces and outline a possible way forward”, as the Member of Parliament recently stated in a plenary session. PESCO has shown that there is an increasing interest by European citizens and state representatives in the development of a strong and resilient defense framework. This recent upward trend in the Union’s foreign and security policy creates new opportunities for cooperation in foreign affairs and makes a sound assessment of the EU’s future strategies indispensable.

The European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung invites you to engage in a “talk about security” and, on the basis of the European Parliament’s Report, to discuss recent developments in the Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy together with MEP David McAllister and Daniel Fiott, Security and Defence Editor at the European Institute for Security Studies.
