Combating Terrorism and Extremism
The World Summit on Counter-Terrorism is an annual event that brings together leading experts, policymakers, and security professionals from around the globe to discuss the most pressing issues in international counter-terrorism efforts. This platform serves as a venue for the exchange of best practices, the analysis of current threats, and the development of joint strategies to counter terrorism and extremism. The office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Israel has been a long-standing partner in this initiative.
Terrorism knows no borders – it threatens security and stability worldwide. The summit promotes deeper cooperation and the development of effective solutions through international partnerships. Dialogue between states, international organizations, and civil society helps to foster a shared understanding of the challenges posed by global terrorism. The fight against terrorism is also a key component of German-Israeli relations.
Exchange Between Diverse Stakeholders
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has long been committed to protecting democratic values and building stable security structures. The World Summit on Counter-Terrorism is a central component of this mission, as it promotes dialogue among a wide range of stakeholders and offers concrete approaches to addressing global security challenges.
The first edition of the World Summit on Counter-Terrorism in this format took place in 2014. Since then, it has evolved into one of the most significant international events in the field of counter-terrorism.
