The Documentary that will be screened is from the 1990s, and deals with Pastor James Wuye and Imam Muhammad Ashafa, who led opposing, armed militias, dedicated to defending their respective communities as violence broke out in Kaduna, northern Nigeria. It is both a moving story of forgiveness and a case-study of a successful grass-roots initiative to rebuild communities torn apart by conflict.

The Documentary is followed by a Discussion led by Mr. Assaad Chaftari, who was a combatant during the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990). In 2000, he wrote a letter of apology to all his victims which was then published in the national Lebanese press. Since then he has dedicated his life to peace building and promoting personal change.

The Closing Event of EDGE for Lebanon and KAS will be completed by a selection of Pictures and corresponding stories that were prepared by participants of the previous workshops, with some intriguing personal and emotional experiences.
