On Saturday the 21st of October youngsters from Tripoli and Ersal were invited by the youngsters from Baalbek: all together they visited three houses in Baalbek, where they exchanged their point of views, their fears and their challenges they are confronted with. Through common activities such as planting a tree with Baalbeks deputy mayor or visiting the archaeological sites of the city, an approach between the young people was facilitated, the acceptance and understanding towards the young women and men of the other cities increased and possibilities for peaceful conflict management were showed to them.

During the lunch break they had the chance to get even more familiar with the youngsters from the other cities. The day ended with a seminar about elections and the newly adopted electoral law in Lebanon in order to prepare the youngsters for the upcoming parliamentary elections in May 2018.

The newly established friendships of this day and the understanding of the young women and men from the other cities are going to be deepened on the 4th of November, when the youngsters of Baalbek are going to visit the youngsters in Tripoli. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, AD4Peace, Safe Side, Utopia and especially the youngsters are looking forward to this new visit. Afterwards the youngsters will pay a visit to Ersal.
