Fazlur Rahman (1919 – 1988) was a well-known scholar of Islam at the University of Chicago.
In this book, he attempts to provide a logical synthesis of the main themes of the Quran to explain its relevance modern society. The main themes according to the chapters are: God,humans as an individual, humans in society, nature, the Prophet and divine relevation, eschatology, the devil and evilness, the birth of the Muslim society.
