The Institute of Strategic & International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, in partnership with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia, will be hosting PRAXIS 2025 on 7 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.
PRAXIS is ISIS Malaysia’s flagship public policy conference, designed to bridge ideas and translate research into actionable solutions.
Since 2011, it has convened policymakers, business leaders, civil society, and academia to address the most pressing issues facing Malaysia.
This year’s theme – From Fracture to Future – reflects a world in transition. Trade barriers are rising, climate commitments are slipping, and multilateral systems are under strain.
As global fragmentation deepens, Malaysia must respond with resilience and foresight.
PRAXIS 2025 focuses on three critical areas: climate security, trade, and regional connectivity.
These challenges demand bold, forward-looking policies that will shape Malaysia’s long-term stability and competitiveness.
We are honoured to welcome Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, to deliver the keynote address. The programme will also feature a fireside chat with YB Tuan Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Human Resources, offering fresh insights into Malaysia’s workforce transformation amid regional and global shifts.
Unlike other conferences, PRAXIS embeds research and stakeholder engagement into its process. Every panel is informed by consultations and insights gathered in advance, ensuring meaningful dialogue and practical outcomes. Post-conference outputs, such as policy briefs, extend the impact of these discussions well beyond the event.
We look forward to PRAXIS 2025, as we chart a path through uncertainty – and help build a more secure, connected, and sustainable future for Malaysia and the region.
