The Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia, will host the next instalment of the Crucial Conversations series – Renewable Power, Digital Growth – on 26 August 2025 at Hilton Petaling Jaya.
This timely conference brings together leaders in energy, technology, and policy to explore how Malaysia can power its digital future while accelerating the transition to clean, resilient energy systems.
With data centres, AI adoption, and digital services expanding at unprecedented speed, the demand for reliable and sustainable power has never been greater. The event will examine how Malaysia can seize this opportunity to align its digital growth with its climate ambitions, ensuring competitiveness and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.
We are honoured to welcome YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof to deliver the keynote address, setting the stage for an engaging and solutions-focused programme.
Highlights include:
- Plenary 1: Digital Infrastructure Meets Clean Energy: Charting Malaysia’s Sustainable Path Forward
- Track 1: Supporting the ASEAN Power Grid – Through Efforts at Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) in Japan, featuring H.E. Ambassador Noriyuki Shikata, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia
- Plenary 2: Toward a Just and Inclusive Digital-Energy Transition: Skills, Sustainability and Social Impact
The event will also mark the official launch of the ESG Dictionary, developed in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) — a tool designed to standardise ESG terminology and support Malaysia’s sustainable business transformation.
Part of the ongoing Crucial Conversations series, this event continues the dialogue between Malaysia’s decision-makers, industry leaders, and civil society on strategies that will define the country’s future.
