Details

This August, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia is proud to host a two-day developmental training for our KAS Young Scholars for Excellence. Taking place at on 16–17 August 2025, the workshops are designed to equip our scholars with crucial leadership and communication skills as they prepare to take on greater responsibilities in their academic, professional, and civic journeys.

On Day One, participants will engage in a Self-Leadership Workshop with trainer Shadaitul Mohd Zin, exploring themes of personal development, workplace readiness, and goal-setting. This session will focus on strengthening self-awareness, identifying core values, and developing strategies to thrive in the transition into career life.

Day Two shifts focus to Influencing and Communication Skills, led by educator and speaker Phang Chui Kean (Teacher Kean). Scholars will learn how to communicate persuasively, navigate difficult conversations, and secure buy-in across various audiences – from peers to decision-makers. With interactive role plays and real-time feedback, the day promises to be both practical and transformative.

This training is part of KAS Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a generation of critical thinkers and values-driven leaders who will shape Malaysia’s future.

Stay tuned as we share insights and moments from the workshops in the coming days
