On the 7th of August, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia partnered with the Institute of Strategic & International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia for PRAXIS 2025, a flagship platform to explore how Malaysia and ASEAN can navigate a fractured global landscape.

With trade tensions climbing, climate commitments backsliding, and geopolitical fault lines widening, this year’s theme, From Fracture to Future, examined how our region can lead on 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, and 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆.

ESG took centre stage across the discussions – from accelerating the green/industrial transition and embedding sustainability into ASEAN’s economic strategy, to ensuring climate resilience becomes a core security priority. Speakers underscored that integrating environmental, social, and governance principles is no longer optional – it’s the key to long-term stability and competitiveness.
