Over the weekend, we held The Scholar’s Career Compass: Stand Out in Paper and in Person with our KAS Malaysia scholars.
What stood out most was not just the focus on CVs and interviews, but also the deeper conversations about clarity, confidence, and intentionality, especially understanding who you are, what you bring to the table, and how to communicate that authentically, both on paper and in person.
From decoding job descriptions and navigating ATS systems to crafting strong STAR stories and practising mock interviews, the session was a powerful reminder that career readiness is not about perfection; it’s about preparation, self-awareness, and practice.
A huge thank you to Amy Gonsalviz from TAPRO Recruitment & Training Agency for leading such a practical, engaging, and honest session, and to our scholars for showing up with openness, curiosity, and courage. Watching them sharpen their narratives and step into their value was truly rewarding!
Looking forward to seeing where their compass leads them next. 🌱
