In the interests of inspiring regional communication and cooperation in the sector, the KAS Media Programme has funded the portal's annual editorial costs, including stringers and a deal with Mpumalanga based news agency, African Eye News to provide local and regional stories, events and updates on the media in the region. The site is used by local and international journalists, media NGOs, student media, academics, publishers and media owners with an average of 15 000 unique visitors a month.
