The journalism scholars of the KAS Media Programme South East Europe visited the private television station bTV in Sofia.

The scholars were welcomed by Kristina Baxanova, Head of Foreign News.

Veselina Petrakieva, editor-in-chief of the news, gave our scholars more information about the bTV broadcasting studio and the different studio sets.

Iskra Vladimirova, editor-in-chief of current affairs programmes, talked about some of the work challenges.

At the end of the tour Ms. Baxanova asked the scholars to view every story and event from a critical angle.

The scholars were welcomed by Kristina Baxanova, Head of Foreign News. Not only did she share her experience in international reporting, but she also guided the scholars through bTV studios and the bTV newsroom. Veselina Petrakieva, editor-in-chief of the news, and Iskra Vladimirova, editor-in-chief of current affairs programmes, gave our scholars more information about the bTV broadcasting studio, the different studio sets and talked about some of the work challenges that they face. The KAS Media Programme South East Europe awards the “Adenauer Journalism Scholarship” twice a year. It supports talented journalism students at universities in Sofia. Thus, the Media Programme aims to support the new generation of young journalists in the media.
