Among others, in the first panel the former foreign correspondent of the public Broadcaster ARD for Middle East and North Africa, Jörg Armbruster, will discuss with Christian Mihr, head of the German section of Reporters Without Borders. The panellists will explain under which circumstances investigative journalists work and which mandatory security measures their daily work requires.

Hereafter, the freelance Journalist Gregor Mayer, who documented the collapse of Yugoslavia, and the Bulgarian documentary filmmaker Elena Yontcheva, who published more than 25 documentaries from different conflict zones, will tackle the topic how journalists can successfully cover stories in the situation of war.

Media experts like Yevgen Fedchenko and Ljiljana Zurovac will interpret the journalists’ experiences and debate about the consequences for the news coverage when media becomes war party in a conflict.
