The Separation of Powers and its relevance to Namibia

Panel discussion

The experts will discuss the history, the actual state and the relevance of the separation of powers to and in Namibia.

The separation of powers as a political concept has been a topic widely discussed throughout the last two centuries. How can the independance of all the three branches - executive, legislative and judiciary - be safeguarded? What relevance does the idea have to todays Namibia? What has been achieved, what remains to be done? In a panel discussion, followed by a q&a-section, all this questions and many others will be raised and discussed.
