10th Namibian Women Summit - Foundation Office Namibia and Angola
Event Reports
The Namibian Women Summit was born out of a need to bring women from all sectors – public, private and civil society – together under the common vision of dramatically expanding women’s economic opportunities through exchanges of working solutions and creative strategies forged by these women from all over the country.
The Namibian Women Summit is a business Summit, and focuses on the upskilling of all Namibian women, with special emphases on women in leadership and decision making positions, women entrepreneurs & women in business, and inclusively all emerging young women. The overall aim of the Namibian Women Summit is to carve out specific strategies on how women will make an impact in Namibia.
The 10th Namibian Women Summit was again implemented by House of Women and its director Mrs. Anne Gebhardt under the topic of "WOMEN CELEBRATING AN INCLUSIVE FUTURE". This theme was chosen in support of H.E. President Dr Hage Geingob’s Harambee Prosperity Plan. Nearly 150 women from different fields and walks of life participated in the summit.
KAS did not only engage itself as a sponsor, but also actively participated in the summit. Stefanie Braun, KAS Project Manager for "One World No Hunger II" delivered a presentation on women's land rights and ownership.
