Book launch of the "Toward our All-Inclusive Namibian House" publication

How can we build a nation in which no Namibian feels left out?

Over the course of more than one year, nearly 1000 Namibians from all walks of life have contributed to this "construction plan" of the all-inclusive Namibian House, which can therefore serve as a nationwide response to H.E. The President's speech from 2015.

How can we build a Namibian house that truly is all-inclusive? This question forms the foundation of this new publication that the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Namibia-Angola and its longstanding Namibian cooperation partner Forum for the Future (FFF) officially introduced to the public on March 23rd 2017 at the Protea Fuerstenhof Hotel in Windhoek. The document deals with current issues and challenges that the Namibian nation and society are facing. Over the course of the last year, more than 1000 Namibians from all walks of life have contributed by adding their own opinions, ideas and contributions to the first draft of the original document. It took several expert's meeting as well as numerous local, regional and national workshops throughout the whole country in order to finalise the book and to bring it in its current state. By now, the publication doesn't only touch on issues like marginalized group, dezentralisation, Good Governance or Reconciliation, but also offers a variety of different and relevant solution approaches. At the back of the book one can find a list of signatures of the nearly 1000 Namibians who contributed and added value to the document.

It is the range and the constructive nature of the book that makes it a truly nation-wide response to H.E. The Presidents State of the Nation Address. During the launch, more than 30 participants from the Namibian civil society and the media engaged in a vivid debate on its ideas and message and discussed its way forward.

The publication "Towards our all-inclusive Namibian House" can be picked up at the office of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Namibia-Angola free of charge.
