During February and March 2017, the CCSO project held workshops in the five target regions of Omaheke, Hardap, Otjozondjupa, Oshikoto and Erongo region respectively. The workshops looked at how CSO's can engage and work well with the regional structures; how to become part of the Constituency Development Committee's(CDC) and work on their own internal structures. The motive was to enhance better collaboration between the CSO's, the local and regional councils (authorities) and the communities. We succeeded to invite representatives from the regional councils to talk to the CSO's on developments, projects and planning matters in the regions. This engagement and platform allowed the CSO's to directly engage and get answers from the regional leaders. They are now, as a result, well equipped to provide feedback to their respective communities.

During the week of 2-7 April 2017, the CCSO project held a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop at Rock Lodge. Eight highly qualified and competent trainers participated. Only five of the best candidates made it out of the initial eight and have become Master Trainers for the CCSO project. They are to train CSO's on the first three modules to cover Organisational and administrative skills, operational skills and enhanced constituent engagement & public participation from May to November 2017.
