The KAS office for Namibia and Angola started its cooperation with the newly established institution of the office of the Judiciary in the form of various training workshops in 2016. These training workshops are aimed at furthering the education of Namibian magistrates by for example providing them with new knowledge about recent developments in the state of criminal law. Due to the high relevance of the project as well as the cooperation's success, both partners wished to continue the cooperation in the form of further workshops this year. For this reason, the cooperation extension contract was signed by Mr. Thomas Keller, resident representative of the KAS office for Namibia and Angola and Ms. Rolanda van Wyk, permanent secretary of the office of the judiciary, in June. The first workshop under the topic of civil law was already successfully held in Oshakati in June and will be followed by several workshops under various relevant topics throughout the year.
