How can Sweden and Germany promote security and stability in Europe?

The first workshop took place from 8th – 9th June 2017 in Stockholm where security policy aspects regarding Europe have been elaborated, especially from the Swedish perspective. This event intends to go even more into depth by also hearing the German perspective about the same topics.

15 young politicians, journalists and social science students from each country will participate in this workshop by engaging with different topics. Core themes will be terrorism and Islamist radicalization, information warfare and fake news, populism and Common Security and Defense Policy. So far Dr. Andreas Jacobs, Coordinator Islam and religious extremism, Olaf Wientzek, Coordinator European politics, and Dr. Carsten Koschmieder working on empirical political sociology at the Free University of Berlin, have been confirmed as speakers and will share their expertise with the participants.
