On December 8th, 2011 the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MITFTAH) presented the Media Monitoring Unit project’s first issue of the newspaper “Ra’yon Akhar” (Different Viewpoint) at the MIFTAH offices in Ramallah. Best Plans for a Peaceful Israel/Palestine

On November 28th, 2011 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Ramallah in collaboration with the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI) and the Free Muslims against Terrorism held the conference “Best Plans for a peaceful Israel/Palestine” at the Ambassador Hotel in Jerusalem. The conference welcomed Palestinians and Israelis from all perspectives within the political spectrum to discuss solutions that the majority of the Palestinian and Israeli public would prefer over the current situation.

The European Parliament – a rising star?

On Thursday, the 23th of November, a lecture entitled “The European Parliament – a rising star?” was held by Felix Dane, head of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ramallah. The lecture is part of the module „THE EUROPEAN UNION: UNIQUE PHENOMENON OR RELEVANT MODEL?“ within the course „International Studies“, offered by the Ibrahim Abu Lughod Institute for International Studies (IALIIS) . The module is organized in collaboration between IALIIS and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, aiming at strengthening the knowledge of future Palestinian diplomats on the EU and its institutions.

Graduation Ceremony of the “Democracy in the Palestinian Institutions and the Electoral System” training course

The Institute for Community Partnership, Bethlehem University in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ramallah held a graduation ceremony for the training course “Democracy in the Palestinian Institutions and the Electoral System” in 3 cities of: Ramadin, Karmah, and Surif south of Hebron. The course aimed to strengthen the role of Palestinian women in the community and the Political Life, and encouraged them to participate in the Elections.
