For its first iteration, “THAT’S THEM: From Pride to Public Service” will focus on empowering LGBTQIA+ youth who are interested in pursuing leadership and public service, particularly those considering participation in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
The program seeks to provide participants with practical knowledge, leadership training, and political communication skills that can help them navigate community leadership, governance, and public engagement. More importantly, it aims to create a safe and empowering space where LGBTQIA+ youth can see themselves as future leaders, public servants, and changemakers in their communities.

Program Objectives
The program aims to:
- Encourage young members of LGBTQIA+ community to participate in governance and community leadership actively;
- Introduce participants to pathways in public service, civic engagement, and local governance;
- Develop participants’ understanding of leadership, representation, and political participation;
- Equip aspiring youth leaders with practical skills in communication, campaigning, advocacy, and community engagement; and
- Create a network of emerging LGBTQIA+ leaders and changemakers committed to inclusive leadership and governance.
Who Should Apply?
This workshop is designed for aspiring LGBTQIA+ young leaders who want to become future candidates and leaders. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Reside in the National Capital Region (NCR). Those living outside NCR may apply if they can cover transportation costs to Makati City.
- Be aged 18 to 25 years old.
- Have an interest in leadership, governance, civic engagement, or public service.
- Be youth leaders, student leaders, advocates, organizers, or community volunteers.
- Be passionate about creating positive change in their communities.
