CDPI conducts Third Advanced Course on Centrist Democracy


The Centrist Democracy Political Institute held its 3rd Advanced Course on Centrist Democracy: Advocacy, Recruitment, Mobilization last September 28-30, 2013 at the Hotel Vicente, F. Torres St. in Davao City. Eighteen (18) Participants from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao were given extensive capacity building training in order for them to jumpstart the growth and expansion of their regional and local entities, with respect to their political parties.

Dr. Peter Koeppinger, Resident Representative of the KAS in the Philippines, handled several discussions on local party work and party platform development, while several speakers from the academe- with the likes of Dr. Jose Abueva-former University of the Philippines President and Prof. Edmund Tayao- Executive Director of the Local Government Development Foundation and University of Sto. Tomas professor, shared key insights on how to use ideologically based pillars to develop and grow political party membership.

Workshops were conducted afterwards to test whether the participants had a good grasp of what was taught during the entire training program
