The conference focuses on practical ways communities can work with or even partner with local governments to solve urgent problems. Through a keynote by Mayor Benjamin “Benjie” Magalong, and three interactive breakout sessions, the conference will explore how to (1) rebuild public trust and encourage citizen action; (2) modernize local government services through smart and simple solutions; and (3) strengthen community resilience to climate and disaster risks. At the end of the conference, participants are expected to leave with concrete ideas, tools, or partnerships to drive change in their own communities, starting at the local level.
