Moreover, the team did a courtesy visit with the newly elected local chief executive of South Cotabato, Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. on August 24. The discussion among the LoGIC team, the governor, and the CSO representatives focused on improving the business opportunities and public service delivery in the province, with particular emphasis on the role of CSOs and business groups' role in monitoring government-led infrastructure projects in South Cotabato. After the meeting with the governor, the team also met the South Cotabato Integrity Circle and joined the discussion about the preparation for the upcoming South Cotabato Integrity Week celebration in September 2019.
The visit in South Cotabato ended with a visit in one of the CSO/Social enterprise group in the coffee industry partner - Tupi Coffee Growers Association Inc. - of the Municipality of Tupi, another LoGIC member LGU. Tupi Coffee Growers had been supporting small holder farmers and women workers to improve their incomes.
