The two partners will organize a number of six conferences in Romania and Moldova opened to students and professionals from the justice system. The direct public will be represented by students from political science, administrative and law schools and professional communities (lawyers, judges and prosecutors). The events will take place in Romania in three cities - Bucharest, Iași and Craiova - and în other three cities of Moldova: Chisinau, Bălți and Orhei.
The conferences will include topics such as democratic principles, rule of law (justice, human rights and the equal access to justice), system change, separation of powers and the mechanisms needed to create and consolidate the institutional balance. The scope of the conferences is to underline the role of the justice and of the rule of law in general for a democratic state and for the fight against populism, extremism and instability.
Each conference will last 3 to 4 hours and will include a panel of experts and magistrates with a good public image and considered to be role models in their field of activity.
A closing event will be held in Bucharest in a non-formal format such as a world cafe or an open space event, in order to disseminate the projects' results and to identify potention partners for future similar initiatives. inițiativelor viitoare.
