Rule of Law Program Southeast Europe in the final round of the World Justice Challenge in Chicago

International recognition for the "Leaders for Justice" project

On August 1, Doru Toma and Dr. Pavel Usvatov presented the "Leaders for Justice" project at the World Justice Challenge in Chicago. The World Justice Project selected 30 of the most innovative and impactful projects from a total of 424 applications from 109 countries. "Leaders for Justice" is one of the seven finalists in the "Youth Engagement" category.

8. Westbalkan-Botschafterkonferenz

Wenige Wochen vor dem nächsten Gipfel des Berliner Prozesses in Tirana lud die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung am 20. September 2023 zum 8. Mal zur Westbalkan-Botschafterkonferenz ein. Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer des Formats tauschten sich zu Lösungsansätzen und Verbesserungspotenzialen beim Ausbau der Verkehrsinfrastruktur aus und setzten sich mit den Gefahren von Desinformation auseinander. Darüber hinaus wurden geopolitische Herausforderungen ausführlich beleuchtet.

Unter strengen Hygienevorschriften fand am 7. September in Berlin im Rahmen der deutschen EU-Ratspräsidentschaft die 5. Westbalkan-Botschafterkonferenz der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung statt.

Increasing the safety of the probation counsellors’ activity

During this event the participants improved their skills for situations of risk and conflict of interests. The participants from Croatia, Romania and the Republic of Moldova were informed about how to de-escalate difficult situations. Thorsten Geissler, head of RLP SEE, underlined the importance of the probationers work, its social responsibility and needed qualifications.

November veranstaltete das KAS RSPSOE in Zusammenarbeit mit der Vereingung „Zenith“ in Skopje eine hochrangige Konferenz zum Thema „Die Bewältigung verfassungsrechtlicher Herausforderungen auf dem Weg in die Europäische Union: Perspektiven aus den Beitrittsländern in Südosteuropa“, in deren Rahmen eine wissenschaftliche Studie zum selben Thema vorgestellt wurde.
