Eurosfat 2017 aims to use the opportunity provided by the upcoming Romanian 2019 EU Council Presidency and the RO2019 project to shape, through a bottom-up approach, the positions and expectations that the civil society, the private and public sectors have from the Romanian representatives in the EU for the 2019 moment and Presidency.
The proposed panels will set up the debate on how Romania, given the current positive trend, could become a role model in the fight against corruption among its neighbouring countries and those aspiring to join the EU.
The event aims at

- Shaping the 2019 EU agenda for the Romanian EU Council Presidency;
- Raising awareness at the EU and national level about the current state of the fight against corruption and rule of law in Romania and its (South-Eastern) Neighbourhood;
- Increasing the level of cooperation on democracy and anti-corruption strategies with experts and policy makers from both the EU and the EU Neighborhood;
- Consolidating the key acquis and values of the European Union such as the rule of law, democracy, strong civil society;
