Welcome to the website of the Regional Programme Security Dialogue for East Africa (RP SIPODI East Africa) based in Kampala, Uganda. The Regional Programme deals with security policy and international relations in the East Africa region. The focus of the work lies on security affairs in the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti and Eritrea). In addition, the programme also deals with conflicts and international operations in the Great Lakes region and Mozambique. The thematic area of security affairs is to be understood in a broader sense here. In addition to armed conflicts, civil wars and international terrorism, the RP SIPODI East Africa also deals with topics in the area of flight and migration as well as the impact of climate change on security.
