Scholarship Announcement
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a German foundation named after the first chancellor Konrad Adenauer. It has headquarters and education centers in Germany as well as in more than 100 offices around the world. KAS seeks to advance peace, freedom, and prosperity in Thailand by supporting democracy, the Rule of Law, the Social Market Economy, and cooperation between Thailand, Germany, and the European Union.
KAS has been working in Thailand since the 1980’s with cooperation partners in government, civil society, educational institutions, business, and the media who share our values in order to:
- Strengthen the parliamentary system and constitutional government;
- Encourage decentralization, dialogue, and citizen participation in government decision-making at all levels;
- Promote economic growth, social justice, and environmental protection; and
- Support cooperation between Thailand, Germany, and the European Union.
In 2021, KAS launched a scholarship program called “Konrad Adenauer Scholarship for Social and Innovative Development (KASSID)” for those who are interested in pursuing a Master's degree or currently studying a Master's degree at an educational institution in Thailand.
The Foundation's goal is to:
- Promote the education of young academics, expecting them to shoulder responsibility for the state and society; and
- Promote intercultural dialogue as well as the formation of international networks.
