Connecting rights holders and policymakers to ensure an inclusive and comprehensive perspective

While the Draft Clean Air Act, aimed at addressing air pollution, is under consideration of the Senate, another crucial mechanism is to enhance public awareness and understanding of environmental rights among the public and relevant agencies in Mae Hong Son province, one of the areas heavily affected by air pollution. This can motivate local residents to aware of and exercise their rights concretely, forming the foundation for the ultimate goal of environmental justice.

“Model Parliament”: Learning about Parliament and Democracy through simulated House of Representatives proceedings

The “Model Parliament” activity under the Smart Youth Parliament 2026 provided young people with an opportunity to learn about the parliamentary system and the proceedings of the House of Representatives. The activity emphasised Active Learning through simulated parliamentary session on the topic of “Parliamentary Motions.”
