Smart Technologies for Uganda's Agricultural Sector
The agricultural sector is very important for the future growth of Uganda's economy. Climate change is already threatening this possibility. Therefore, it is needed to discuss the adaptation to climate-smart technologies for the agricultural sector. Experts from the government and the private sector are participating on the panel.
Unity in Diversity – Intercultural Dialogue for Peace in South Sudan
Together with the Youth Social Advocacy Team (YSAT), which belongs to the Network of South Sudanese Civil Society Organizations in Uganda (NoSSCOU), the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung hosts an intercultural dialogue to enhance the awareness of the importance of culture and identity-building as a tool for peacebuilding.
Capacity-Building for Leaders of the West-Nile District
In cooperation with the Hub for Investigate Media (HIM) the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung hosts a workshop for 15 leaders of the West-Nile-Region, educating them about civic participation and their obligation to provide information.

Regional Debate Competitions
In recognition of the important contribution young people make towards national development, ACFODE, in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, will conduct Regional Debate Competitions. 16 teams with representatives from each University will debate in discussions about gender, democracy, good governance and participation in decision making processes.

Together with the Directorate of National Guidance we train elected and appointed leaders on key topics that are geared towards fostering togetherness and ensuring that district councils work effectively in a multiparty system at the district level.

Predicaments of Uganda’s Middleclass as Portrayed by Three Photographers
Africa’s middle-class as defined by certain criteria such as secondary schooling completion, decent housing, and skilled employment is rising. Though the Ugandan middle class population accounts a small portion, urban dynamics present opportunities for a significant demographic rise of this social class. As part of the Future Africa Vision in Time (FAVT) Exhibition Opening Events, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung partnered with the German Cultural Institute, the Goethe-Zentrum Kampala, hosting a public symposium on the challenges and opportunities of a rising middle-class in Africa in general and Uganda in particular.
