Power, Pragmatism, and Partnerships: The EU’s Global Strategy One Year into the von der Leyen II Commission

This analysis aims to highlight some of the key evolutions of the EU’s policy towards the EU’s non-European partners since the start of the second von der Leyen Commission in December 2024. When analyzing the EU’s partnership policy, the focus lies often on the transatlantic relationship, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and EU enlargement.
