The University of Otago, in collaboration with the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and KAS, is organising the 53rd Otago Foreign Policy School on the theme of “Asia-Pacific Diplomacy Transition: Ideas, Issues and Institutions”.

The 53rd Foreign Policy School will convene in Dunedin, New Zealand from 28 June 2018, bringing together scholars and political decision makers to discuss how major nations in the wider Asia-Pacific region perceive and respond to a number of critical trends and developments - namely the growing tension between deepening globalisation and the revival of great power rivalry - affecting diplomacy in the early 21st century.
