The Windhoek Dialogue was established in 1996. The dialogue was last held in Namibia in 2010. This year it takes place in Ghana in close cooperation with the Robert Schumann Foundation. The Conference is a platform that offers the possibility for members of the EPP and their African Partners to work in close cooperation. This enables them to share ideas and experiences concerning democratic development and discuss economic challenges and political changes in various countries. Topics to be discussed this year include among others the financial crisis and its effects on African countries and the impact of the Arab spring on the rest of Africa.
