The Malaysia Economic and Strategic Outlook Forum was a high level gathering of strategic thinkers, economic experts, business and industry leaders and senior government officers to discuss the key strategic challenges and key issues facing the nation in the new year as well as to assess the business and investment opportunities. The forum provided an apt and timely opportunity to feel the pulse of the economy and the tempo of development as well as be updated on emerging trends.

This forum, involving policymakers, newly-elected government representatives, economists, business leaders and representatives from think tanks, universities and media, provided an exchange on the state of the economy and society, new policy initiatives and strategies. In addition, this year's forum addressed Malaysia's global challenges in 2019, discussing threats and risks, structural deficiencies, and exploring the development potential for the country and its major economic sectors.
