Im Rahmen des gemeinsamen Projektes „Westliche Werte und europäische Identität“ der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und der Fundación para el Análisis y los Estudios Sociales (FAES) findet am 12. September 2006 der workshop „Foreign Policy Identity of the European Union“ im Europabüro Brüssel statt. Mehrere Experten (Politiker, Akademiker, Diplomaten und Journalisten) werden sowohl die Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen der Gemeinsamen Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik der EU, wie auch die verschiedenen Konzepte einer europäischen außenpolitischen Identität diskutieren. Gegenstand der Diskussionen wird auch die Frage sein, wie eine solche gemeinsame außenpolitische Identität in der Praxis konkret umgesetzt werden kann.
