This time, the ceremony will take place in the hall of the European Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

On behalf of the Representation of Israel to the EU and NATO, the AJC Transatlantic Institute, and the European Office of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, we are honored to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 31, 2023. 

We are looking forward to welcoming remarks of Ambassador of Israel to the European Union, H.E Mr. Haim Regev. It is a special honor to welcome Holocaust Survivor Professor Julien Klener to our event, who will start the second part of the event with his testimony. We will then hear a short briefing from Ms. Katharina von Schnurbein about her work as EU’s coordinator on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life, which will be followed by a lecture of Dr. Veerle Vanden Daelen, Deputy General Director and researcher in Kazerne Dossin.

Together with our distinguished speakers we want to debate and raise awareness for increasing antisemitism around us and find ways to stand up against it. At the same time, we want to take this moment to remember those who lost their lives in the atrocities during the Holocaust.
